*My thoughts on December 19th, 2015 after the conclusion of the US Open/Olympic Trials Qualifier.*
One step is out of the way. After taking 3rd place at the Olympic Trials Qualifier in Vegas, I am now officially qualified for the Olympic Trials which will be held on April 9th and 10th in Iowa City, IA. So, in some way, I did what I came to Vegas to do. In other ways, I didn't! Not satisfied!
I didn't walk away with first place today and that's not fun. I did prove to myself that I am fully capable of competing at this level. I also know that the level I will be at in April will far exceed the one that was on display here in Las Vegas this weekend. Since deciding to take on this challenge of becoming the best version of me I have seen plenty of ups and downs - whether they were from personal experience or watching other people. And I know that this journey is not over for me.
As I look at my countdown clock on my phone, as it currently stands, I have 113 days left to make the adjustments to be the best version of me possible while heading into Iowa City, IA on April 10th! This will take dedication, sacrifice, hard work, focus, and every bit of that R.A.R.E. mentality that God has inspired me to put together. And I know with the guidance of the Lord I will always be where I am supposed to be!
I want to thank all my friends, family, coaches, supporters, and all those that are with me on this journey as we continue #RumblingToRio!
Qualified... NOT SATISFIED!! And if you know anything about me know that if I'm not SATISFIED, then I'll go back to the freezer to get some more!! 🍦🍦 🍦
Stay HUNGRY my friends!
